Kenosha -- We mourn the loss of Dillon Jack Mahoney, age 37, who died peacefully after a ten-year illness on August 10, 2011.
Dillon was born in Milwaukee, November 13, 1973, and grew up in Madison and Racine. He graduated from William Horlick High School in 1991 and from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1997. At the time he became ill, he worked for Nielsen, Madsen, Barber S.C. as a surveyor. We will remember him for his charm, wit and loyalty. We will especially remember how enthusiastically he supported the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers and how he loved music, shooting hoops with his friends, snowboarding and the night sky.
Dillon is survived by father Dennis Mahoney, and his mother Jacqueline Sharpe; his brother Sean Mahoney, Sean’s wife Tiffany (Hartman), and their two daughters Lauren and Morgan; his sister Caitlin Mahoney Ackley, her husband Brandon, and their son Liam. He is also survived by seven uncles, six aunts, and fifteen cousins and their spouses and children, as well as many dear friends, especially Mame Casper. No words are adequate to express our sadness at the loss of our treasured son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. At 5 p.m. a time of remembering will be held. Donations may be made in Dillon’s name to Max and the Wild Things, www.maxandthewildthings.com.
Dillon’s family wishes to thank Dr. Joshua Bloom and the staff at Sheridan Medical Complex for their compassionate care of our son and brother.
