Anna M. (Costanzo) Porcaro

Anna M. Porcaro, age 87, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009, at Woodstock Health and Rehabilitation Center, Kenosha, WI. Anna was born in Kenosha, August 5, 1921, daughter of the late Louis and Roselena (Nee: Mancusso) Costanzo.

On May 31, 1947, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Porcaro who preceded her in death, April 13, 2006. Prior to her marriage she was employed by Simmonds Corporation, Great Lakes Naval Training and later by Porters Furniture of Racine. Anna was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society and the Italian American Club of Kenosha. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her son, Charles Porcaro; brothers, Louis (Barbara) Costanzo, Michael Costanzo; sisters, Rita Costanzo, Catherine (William) Pollock; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Anthony Porcaro, Earl (Josie) Porcaro, Oscar Brusha, Betty Valente; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Meagan and staff on 2C at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints, Drs. Of Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center, staff of Woodstock, especially Stephanie and the staff of Seasons Hospice especially her nurse Mary.
