Barbara Ann (nee: DeHahn) Strazzinski, 65, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2009, with her family and her friends by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on September 26, 1943, the daughter of Robert and Julia (nee: Czosnek) DeHahn.
She was a 1961 graduate of St. Catherine’s High School. On May 2, 1964, Barbara was united in marriage to Phillip Strazzinski. She attended St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and later St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Barbara was employed as a secretary for Young Radiator and later advanced to a Domestic Engineer. She loved gardening, cooking, needlework and helping family and friends. Most of all she treasured her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nicholas.
Surviving is her husband, Phillip; son, David Strazzinski; daughter, Theresa (Michael) Kelly; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nicholas; four brothers and three sisters. She is further survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, S89W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend, WI 53103 on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Richard Robinson officiating. There will be a visitation at the church on Saturday before services from 9 a.m. until time of Mass. Barbara and her family would like to thank Dr. Osborne, Dr. Ruggeri and the wonderful staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Hospice Alliance. A special thank you to the staff of Big Bend School for their generosity and support for Barbara’s family.
