Geraldine A. (Tidd) Davis

Geraldine A. Davis, age 87, passed away Tuesday, February 03, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Geraldine was born in Monticello, ME, on January 10, 1922, daughter of the late Ebenezer and Hannah L. (Nee: Morton) Tidd.

On January 6, 1944, she was united in marriage to James W. Davis Sr. who preceded her in death, December 9, 1991. Geraldine enjoyed her neighborhood card club, sewing and making beautiful quilts. Above all she loved caring for her family and home. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sandy J. Timler, Elizabeth “Betsy” Davis, both of Racine; four grandchildren, Pauleea Davis of Racine, Shelby Callahan of NC, Shana (Andy) Molina and Stacy Marie Spaulding, both of Racine; two great-grandchildren, Alex Hull of Racine and Timothy Callahan III of NC; sister, Margaret Markey of Bangor, ME; niece, Barbara (Jack) Andrews of Paw Paw, MI; other nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, James Davis Jr.; brothers, Mac and Leo Tidd; and sister, Ruth Lawless.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to the Eric Hartwell Foundation, 3154 Skyview Court, Brighton, MI 48114 have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Lakeview Rehabilitation Nurses and ICU Nurses at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center for their loving and compassionate care.
