Emily T. Nasticky, age 88, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 23, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Racine August 15, 1920, daughter of the late John and Pauline (Nee: Pallak) Nasticky and was a lifelong resident.
Emily graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1938.” She worked at Peerless Machine and retired from J.I. Case Co where she was employed as a secretary. Emily was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church, the Catholic Slovak Sokol, the Daughters of Isabella and the J.I. Case Twenty Year Club.. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ and the time she spent with family and friends playing cards. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her niece, Susan (John) Swendrowski of Wisconsin Rapids; nephews, Anthony (Judy) Kuchera of Racine, Rick (Olga) Jackson of Racine; great nieces and great nephews, Drew, Andrea, Tracy, Rebecca and Anthony; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Kuchera, and brothers, Otto and Rudolph Nasticky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 26, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
