Frederick Julius Draves Jr., age 96, passed away , June 28, 2009, at Lakeshore Manor. Frederick was born in Racine, December 25, 1912, son of the late Frederick J. and Marie (Nee: Kenth) Draves.
On September 8, 1934, in Racine he was united in marriage to Anna S. Yankech. Frederick was employed by Harley Davidson for many years until his retirement. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed dancing but most of all he treasured time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his five children, Frederick J. (Linda) Draves III of Las Vegas, NV, Annette Dreier of Golden Valley, MN, Jerome (Shirley) Draves of Edgar, WI, Margy (Harry) Park of Allen, TX, Warren (Jean) Draves of Racine; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Paul Yankech of Racine; sister-in-law, Dory Yankech; nieces and nephew, Ida Scheiding, Ethel Smally and Henry Draves; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bert, Leo, and Harry; and three sisters, Lydia, Alice and Mabel.
Private funeral services will be held with interment at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to Lakeshore Manor have been suggested.
