LeMoyne received a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. During World War II, he served in the United States Air Corps. LeMoyne was employed for many years at Walker Manufacturing, retiring in 1988. Following retirement, he was employed at Cornerstone Design. LeMoyne’s first love was flying and he was actively involved with the EAA. He inspired many Young Eagles with his zest for flying and especially loved flying his home-built biplane. He will be deeply missed.Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-three years, Margaret (Nee: Tykal); his three children, Lynn (George) Tatge of Florence, Italy, Kent (Julie) Farnsworth of Ft. Wayne, IN, Scott (Sally) Farnsworth of Racine; son-in-law, David Huelsbeck of Fayetteville, GA; ten grandchildren, Jeff, William, Brian, Tony, Alice, Mark, Kristin, Emma, Lee and Lily; his great-grandson, Gavin; seven step-grandchildren, Anna, Emily, Laura, Alex, Megan, Laura and Dau; sister, Nathene (Gordon) Squires of Elkhart, IN; brother-in-law, Walter Weltz; sister-in-law, Marian Tykal; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kay Huelsbeck, and sister, Gloria Weltz.
Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Private funeral services will be held with interment at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials to Young Eagles EAA Chapter 838 or one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Odders, Wheaton-Franciscan Cancer Center, and Hospice Alliance for their very supportive and loving care and for their giving of hope.
