Mary Jule Wunsch

Mary Jule (nee, Brodell) Wunsch, 60, passed away at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints on Thursday, June 4, 2009.

Mary was born in Racine on February 22, 1949, to Donald and Kathleen (nee, McGuire) Brodell. She retired in 2006 from SC Johnson & Sons after more than 36 years of service and was a member of the 20-Year Club.

Mary was an active member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church including Alpha, was in charge of the Prayer Circle and was Secretary of the Vestry. She was an avid reader and loved a good joke. Mary was known for her contagious laugh and wonderful smile, but most of all she was a very giving person and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her children, SSgt. Barry Wunsch and Megan (Shawn) Wilder; grandchildren, Sara, Trevor and Kaylee; her mother, Kathleen Brodell; sister, Donna (John) Prochacka; brother, John (Karilyn) Brodell; niece, Chrissy (Jim) Jacobsen; great-nieces, Rylee and Caitlyn; special cousin, Jim Kruse; and her partner, Wally Herman and his family. Mary is also survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services for Mary will be held at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 4701 Erie St., on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at 5 p.m. with Rev. Terry McGugan officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday, from 3 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure or St. Michael’s Church.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Greenwald DN Center in Mukwonago and to Dr. Paul LeMarbre and his staff for all of the special care and compassion given to Mary.
