Joseph J. Hartmanstorfer, 45, died on Monday, June 29, 2009, of natural causes at his residence. He was born in Milwaukee, on July 15, 1963. Joe attended St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church and grade school, J.I. Case High School and served in the U.S. Army.
Most recently, he made his living as a professional painter. Joe will be missed for his love of cooking, his dedication to the Green Bay Packers, and his prowess at card games, especially cribbage and pinochle. His cheerful disposition and sense of humor entertained many in his life.
Joe is survived by his three sons, Specialist Christopher (Holly) Hartmanstorfer, serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany, Matthew, and Brian Hartmanstorfer. Immediate family members, including parents, John (Pat) Hartmanstorfer; siblings, Cindi (Bill) Pierson of Charles, Iowa, Chief Petty Officer Dan (Vicki) Hartmanstorfer, U.S. Navy, Retired, of Huntington, West Virginia, Becky (Dave) Ryan of Madison, Amy (Major Tom Matelski, U.S. Army, stationed in Afghanistan) Matelski of Tampa, Florida, Mary (Thomas) Sheldon of Menominee Falls, and Caroline Hartmanstorfer of Racine.
Joe also leaves behind his beloved godmother, Delores Jones.
Joe will be sadly missed by his special friend and life partner, Theresa Salinas, and her daughter, Kellie. As a member of a large extended family, Joe also leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Schroeder; grandparents, Joseph (Caroline) Hartmanstorfer and Glenn (Ruth) Jones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Sebastian’s Congregation, 3126 95th St., Sturtevant, on Tuesday July 7, 2009, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Paul Raczynski officiating. There will be a visitation at church on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until mass time. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family in Joe’s name would be appreciated.
