Robert P. 'Bob' Resch

Robert P. Resch, age 81, left this world Sunday, June 7, 2009, to join his wife, Pauline, who just passed away this past 26th of February. Robert was born in Pearson, WI, on March 2, 1928, son of the late Adolph and Barbara (nee: Hayek) Resch.

Bob proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On August 27, 1955, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Pauline M. Learned. He was last employed with Michael’s Machine Company until his retirement in 1999. He had previously been employed with Quad Machine for over twenty years. Bob was a jack of all trades who could fix anything. He was a generous man who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be best remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his three children, Lonnie (Sandy) Resch, Doreen (Dave) Lee, all of Racine, Corene (Steve) Trowbridge of Mt. Morris, WI; his six grandchildren, Robert and Tyler, Brian, Michelle, Jennifer, and Aaron; his five great-grandchildren, Jade, Jordan, Lexus, Lanie and Lathan; sisters, Monica (Gene) Now, Rosie Zemke; sisters-n-law, Ivy (Sy) Kirchenwitz and Vi Resch; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Ray and Charlie; and his sister, LaVerne.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Hinrichs officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Lurline and the entire staff at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home in Union Grove for their loving and compassionate care.
