Wendy M. (Niles) Will

With her loving family by her side, Wendy M. Will, 59, passed away Thursday evening, June 11, 2009, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Wendy was born in Milwaukee on July 7, 1949, daughter of Charles and Eleanor (Nyman) Niles.

Always a gifted learner, Wendy graduated Valedictorian from Pulaski High School at sixteen years old. She later earned her master's degree in Spanish from Marquette University. On August 18, 1999, in Lake Geneva she was united in marriage to Kevin L. Will. Wendy shared her love for Spanish educating hundreds of students at The Prairie School from 1981 until this past year. Throughout her life, she also enjoyed working with her family at the Seven Mile Fair, which her parents originated. A very fashionable dresser, Wendy enjoyed shopping and loved her many travels abroad to Spain. Most of all she treasured time spent with her family and will be forever remembered as an elegant lady who exemplified the true spirit of love, integrity, dedication and strength to all those she encountered.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin; her children, Kim (Steven) Armus, Michael (Stephanie) Hood, Chris Holterman, Brittany Holterman, Ethan Will and Emma Will; her grandchildren, Lauren Rabidoux, Gavin and Rhyan Hood; her mother, Eleanor Niles; brothers and sister, Scott (Rose) Niles, Jeff Niles, Cindy (Ray) Steffan, Kurt Niles; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Niles.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family for visitation at the funeral home Monday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and for the funeral service to be held at the Prairie School Auditorium, 4050 Lighthouse Dr., on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at 2 p.m. Private family burial services will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Town of Raymond. Memorials to the family for a scholarship fund to be established in Wendy’s name at The Prairie School have been suggested.

Kevin Will - It's Anna Smerchek. I hope this message finds you in time. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Will. I was walking the Relay for Life at Case High School on Saturday when I came across her name and luminary bag glowing bright in the night. She was such a wonderful person, teacher and mentor to me, and so many others, throughout my time at Prairie. I wish you and your family all the best and you are all in my heart. All my love, Anna-Marie
