Josephine M. (nee: Sabatino) Rosenquist, 94, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2009. She was born in Sturtevant on March 11, 1915, the daughter of Lorenzo and Santa (nee: Bruno) Sabatino.
Josephine was united in marriage to Edward R. Rosenquist. She was a longtime member of St. Richard Catholic Church. Josephine retired from JC Penney and was an active volunteer for Harmony. Nothing gave her more joy than being with family and friends.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Florence Rosenquist; nieces, Cynthia Sabatino, Camille Woten, Elaine (Nelson) Hine; nephews, James (Barbara) Gaudio, Kenneth (Susan) Foster, Steve Foster and Jeff (Michele) Gaudio; sister-in-law, Florence Rosenquist. She is further survived by nieces and nephews in the Rosenquist family.
Josephine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward; parents; sister, Agnes Gaudio; brothers, Joseph Russell and Lawrence Sabatino; nephew, Rusty Sabatino; niece, Sandra Woten and aunt Helen Bruno-Jutz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Richard Parish, 1509 Grand Ave., on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Ronald Gramza officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery on Douglas Avenue. There will be a visitation at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
