Emiddio G.'Gabe' Rinaldi

Emiddio Gabriel Rinaldi, ”Gabe”, age 78, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011, at Ridgewood Care Center. He was born in Racine, April 10, 1932, son of the late Vincenzo and Carmella (Nee: Anzalone) Rinaldi.

Gabe proudly served in the U.S. Army. He retired from J.I. Case Co where he was employed for 32 years and was a member of the Twenty Year Club. Gabe was a member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed life, window shopping at the hardware and Army Surplus Stores, bird watching, table games, reading mystery novels, collecting paintings of the lighthouse and watching old westerns on TV. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his sisters, Mary (David) Rinaldi-Kerner of Racine, Louise Liese of Glendale, CA; his brother, Michael A. Rinaldi of Fond du Lac, WI; nieces and nephews, Theresa (Jason) Leal of Racine, Brian (Renee) Candido of Racine, Vincent Candido of Union Grove, Annette (Felix) Rodriguez of Burbank, CA, Daniel (Frances) Liese of West Covina, CA, Craig Rinaldi of Racine, Elizabeth Shedenhelm of IN; great nieces and great nephews, Jacqueline, Brianna, Trina, Marissa, Robert and Vincent Jr.; other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Allan Bartkowski officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to St. Richard’s Catholic Church, Ridgewood Activities Dept of Hospice Alliance have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Brady Welsh, the staffs of Ridgewood Care Center and Hospice Alliance for their loving and compassionate care.
