Edith P. (Altman) Schlegel

Edith P. Schlegel, 87, passed away on Wednesday night, July 30, 2008, at Ridgewood Care Center.

Edith was born in Yerington, Nevada on May 22, 1921, to the late Charles and Anna A. (nee: Egles) Altman. She lived in the Racine area for many years.

Mrs. Schlegel was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener and passionate about her flowers.

Edith is survived by three sons; Ronald R. Schlegel, Kerry A. Schlegel and Bruce J. Schlegel; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond G. Schlegel on Feb. 22, 2003; and two daughters, Carol L. Schlegel and Susan R. Kube.

Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at 11 a.m.with Pastor John R. Dingman officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, from 9 until service time.
