Lillian M. Wall, 94, passed away at Ridgewood Health and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday morning, July 1, 2008.
Lillian Wall was born in Racine to John and Anna (nee: Gulbransen) Wall on April 18, 1914. She had lived in Racine her whole life.
Ms. Wall was schooled in Racine and was employed by Western Publishing for 33 years retiring in 1976. She was an early member of Bethesda Lutheran Church until their merger with Immanuel Lutheran Church to become the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Therefore, she became an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection until the present. She was devoted to the church choir for 60 years and as a Sunday school teacher for five years. She was also involved with the Sewing and Quilting Group for 25 years. She participated in Bible Study groups her whole life. Ms. Wall was truly a lifelong Christian resident of Racine.
Lillian is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Erling (June) Wall; three nieces, Kimberlee (Tom) Schardin, Pat Hutchinson, and Carol (Jeffery) Rinta; her great nieces and nephews, Nathan and Elizabeth Schardin, Drew, Clayton, and Troy Hutchinson, and Jeremy (Lissa) and Jason Rinta. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Wall; and three brothers, Alf, Johan, and LeRoy Wall; and two nieces, Janet and Christine Wall
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Melvin Miritz officiating. Private interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
The Wall family gives a special thanks to the nursing staff and personnel on the 2nd floor East at Ridgewood Health and Rehabilitation Center for their kind and compassionate care of Lillian.
