Josephine A. (Decheck) Meyers

Josephine A. Meyers, age 92, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008, at Wheaton Franciscan- All Saints Medical Center. Josephine was born in Milwaukee, WI, June 10, 1916, daughter of the late Pasquale and Madeline (Nee: LaGuardia) DeCheck.

On November 11, 1939, at St. Rita Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Richard P. Meyers who preceded her in death, April 29, 1996. Josephine enjoyed attending estate sales and antiquing. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Evelyn DeCheck of Franksville; her niece and caregiver, Angie France; her nephew and caregiver, Dr. Mark DeCheck; many other special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, William DeCheck, Dominick DeCheck, Laura Cichanofsky, Katherine LaBelle, Tony DeCheck and Michael DeCheck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass.
