Homosassa, FL -- Peter W. 'Bill' Fox, age 82, passed away July 16, 2008, at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill, FL. Peter was born June 30, 1926, in Racine, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Fox and had been a lifelong resident until his retirement in the 1990s.
During World War II, he served in the the US Army Air Corps and was a member of the American Legion Post 310. Bill was employed as Regional Sales Manager for Vulcan Materials for 25 years. He was an honorary life member of the Deutscher Maenner Verein and was an avid golfer. Bill will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hall Fox; sons Dan M. (Dawn) Fox and Gary D. (Jane) Fox, all of Racine; two grandchildren; brothers, J. Bernard, Charles, Richard and sister Margaret Vrana, all of Wisconsin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his first wife, L. Lois Fox.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave, Friday July 25, 2008, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Ronald O. Crewe officiating. Private interment will be held at West lawn memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Chick Evans Scholarship Fund.
