Michael Lee Wenzel, 54, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. He was born in Racine on June 5, 1954, to Donald H. and Martha F. (Neisius) Wenzel. He lived all of his life in Racine. He was united in marriage to the former Roberta Johnson in Racine on Nov. 25, 1989. He was employed at Dan Foss for 22 years and then worked at Twin Disc as an assembler for the past 4-½ years.
He loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed talking with his friends about where the fish are biting.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta Wenzel; children, Michael, Jr., Jason, Alysha Wenzel; one brother Jerome (Beverly) Neisius; six sisters, Cecelia Johnston, Odelia “Corky” Wenzel, Patricia (Joseph) Razdick, Jane Siegel, Linda York, and Martha Avery; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Memorial Church 4001 Washington Ave., on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Richard Ferrell officiating. Friends may meet with the family at the church on Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of service.
