Grace C. (Moratto) Graceffa

Grace C. Graceffa, age 80, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Lakeshore Manor surrounded by her family. Grace was born in Racine, July 28, 1928, daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella C. (Nee: DeLuca) Moratto.

On June 30, 1951, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Carlo A. Graceffa Sr. who preceded her in death, April 20, 2003. Grace was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her pastimes included playing bingo and shopping. More than anything she enjoyed Italian cooking and being in the surroundings of her family. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Joseph (Connie) Graceffa, Carlo (Sue) Graceffa, Tony (Cindy) Graceffa, Steve Graceffa (special friend, Ana), Ann (Tom) Hecht, Mary Graceffa (special friend, Barney), all of Racine; her grandchildren, Joseph and Dominic Graceffa, Christine (Adam) Bridges, Bryan (Mae) Graceffa, Beth and Andrew Graceffa, Teri and Aaron (Rebecca) Graceffa, Mia Graceffa, Jacob and Lindsey Sattler, and Hannah Hecht; her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Grace Graceffa, Aiden Ryan Bridges, Abby and Aaron Graceffa; brother, Louis Moratto; Aunt Ann and Uncle Jerry Wiegel; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Grace Graceffa, Sam (Yolanda) Graceffa, Joseph (Dorothy) Graceffa, Rose Dacquisto, Angie (Ralph) Banks, Grace Liefbroer, Shirley Romeo; many dear nieces, nephews; special niece and nephew, Rose Ann and Chuck Hoeft; and many other friends including best friends, Pat Krieger and Hazel Litrenta. In addition to her parents and loving husband she was preceded in death by her son, Tom Graceffa; brother, Tony Moratto; and daughter-in-law, Barb Graceffa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie Street, Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, 11 a.m. with Rev. John D. Aiello officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a special fund to be established have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to all the dear angels at Lakeshore Manor and to Dr. Jesse DeGroat for all their loving and compassionate care.
