Michael J. Foster

Michael J. Foster, age 57, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at his residence. Michael was born one of thirteen children in Ingersoll, Ontario, July 28, 1950, son of the late Joseph and Marie (Nee: Amirault) Foster.

On April 22, 1977, he was united in marriage to Leslie Foster (Nee: Toland). Michael was employed by CNH for over thirty years in Canada and the United States, residing in Racine since 1996. Michael’s passions were golfing, fishing, cars and making wine. He was a volunteer for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Above all, Mike treasured time spent with his family and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie; his two daughters, Melanie Foster (fiancé, Chris Carr) and Jaclyn Foster, both of Toronto, ON; his sisters and brothers, Sharon Foster of Brantford, ON, Jean Foster of Burlington, ON, Patrick (Gloria) Foster of Vancouver, BC, Gerald (Joan) Foster of Burlington, ON, Mary (Bill) Kendrick of Bedeque, Prince Edward Island, Joseph (Sherry) Foster of Kelowna, BC, John (Linda) Foster of Burlington, ON, Joan (Lennie) Verestiuk of Burlington, ON, Paul Foster of Toronto, ON, Stephen Foster of Burlington, ON, Alison (Dave) Hatton of Aurora, ON; mother-in-law, Edith Toland of Oakville, ON; brother-in-law, Dave (Jan) Toland of Madoc, ON; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Annette (Terry) Brown; and father-in-law, Dane Toland.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 17, 2008, at 6 p.m. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 13195 W. Hampton Avenue, Butler, WI, 53007 have been suggested.
