Thomas E. Tuttle, 76, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints on Wednesday, July 16, 2008.
Thomas Tuttle was born in Racine to the late Eugene and Bessie (nee: Harcus) on April 2, 1932, and had lived in Racine for most of his life. In Racine, he was united in marriage to Patricia Elsner on November 5, 1955. She had preceded him in death on February 8, 2004.
Mr. Tuttle serviced in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He had a notable career in research and development with S.C. Johnson Co and retired as an Entomologist after working for over 30 years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed camping and traveling. Most importantly he was a devoted family man and will be dearly missed.
Thomas is survived by two children, Matthew (Maria) Tuttle of Racine and Ginger (Brian) Thiesen of Cookeville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Shawn and Cameron; his sister and brother-in-law, Betty (Richard) Burdick; his sister-in-law, Norma Henry; many nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Sharon Schroeder, along with other friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Monday morning, July 21, 2008, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Steven C. Fringer officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday evening, July 20, 2008, from 6 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church.
