George Walter Burkhardt, 77, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare/All Saints on Thursday morning, July 10, 2008. He was born on March 9, 1931, to the late William and Hazel (nee: Barth) Burkhardt Plache. He lived all of his life in Racine.
He was employed at Parker Pen as a machinist. He was an avid bowler in his younger years.
He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law; Edward C. (Billie Jean) Burkhardt; one step-brother and sister-in-law, Carl (Lisa) Plache; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law; Fredrick and Sally Ann Burkhardt.
Private graveside services were held on Monday, July 14, 2008, at West Lawn Memorial Park.
