George A. Paul

George A. Paul, 65, passed away unexpectedly Saturday February 21, 2009. George was born in New York October 26, 1943, son of the late Andrew and Rose (nee: Williams) Paul.

George attended Wm. Horlick High School. He was employed with J.I. Case Co for over thirty years until his retirement in 1992. George was a member of the Stein Club and the Racine County Conversation League. He loved nature, animals and wildlife and loved anything to do with the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gardening was a passion of his and he always had a meticulous beautiful yard. Following his retirement he kept active with snow removal and lawn care. Through the years George had many pets and loved all animals especially his faithful companion, Hoochie Pooch, and his bird, Sweety Tweetie. He will be always remembered as a happy and generous man who was a loving brother, dear uncle and a great friend. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his sisters, Esther (Hank) Andersen of Racine, Linda Paul of Union Grove, Elaine (Norm) McInnis, of Racine; fiancée, Marilyn Wasik of Racine; sister-in-law, Marie Paul of Racine; nieces, nephews, Joyce Jelenik, Joanne (Lance) McGuire, Renee Teddy, Alicia (Kelly) Masters, Gail (Jim) Whittier, Laura (John) Knoch, Kathy (Steve) Kaplan, Darcy Matus, Donna (Jerry) Schaff, Dyan (Ron) Schaff; great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, George was also preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Belle Paul, Rose (Al) Jelenik, Mary (Tony) Macko, his brother Andrew, and his niece, Dana Paul, and nephew, Gary Macko.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 26, 2009, at 6 p.m., with Rev. Warren Williams officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of services and Friday for the committal service to be held at Graceland Cemetery at 11 a.m.

George will be dearly missed. He was kind, caring, and loving man. He helped many people and also made many people smile. My prayers are with you Marilyn; he loved you very much.
