C. Eleanor (nee: Nielsen) Kreul, 91, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on January 3, 1917, the daughter of Carl and Ingeborg (nee: Christensen) Nielsen.
On October 16, 1941, Eleanor was united in marriage to Dr. William R. Kreul Sr. She served on the board for Career Industries.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Ann (William) Krenzke of Eagle River, Dr. William Jr. (Mary) Kreul of Three Lakes, Catherine Forgianni (William) Balthazor of Oconomowoc, David (Cheryl) Kreul of Seattle, WA, Dr. Paul Kreul of Elkhorn, Charles (Andrea) Kreul of Poynette and Dr. Fredrick (Mary) Kreul of Stevens Point; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and a brother, Carl Verner (Lucille) Nielsen of Racine. Further survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, on March 21, 1998; daughter, Margaret on August 25, 2008, and son-in-law, Dominic Forgianni on August 7, 1993; she was also predeceased by three sisters, Lilly Kreul, Eva Wittstock and Remore Olsen.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Ave., on Friday, September 26, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Gramza officiating. There will be a time for family and friends to meet at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Career Industries, 3502 Douglas Ave., Racine, WI 53402, Career Industries in Burlington, 161 Industrial Dr., Burlington, WI 53105 or Angel House, 273 McHenry St., Burlington, WI 53105 have been suggested.
