She was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi, on October 7, 1952, the daughter of Albert and Cordie (nee: Linsey) Allred. On April 2, 1994, Leda was united in marriage to Douglas D. Sity in Waukegan, IL. Leda had been a receptionist for Racine Dental Clinic for 12 years. She was a member of Racine Bible Church.Surviving are her beloved husband, Douglas; son and daughter-in-law, Jason (Emily) Crider; granddaughters, Sarah, Rachel and Hannah Crider; step-daughters, Ashley and Alexa Sity; father-in-law, Alex Sity; sisters, Doris Muedini, Sharon Allred, Beverly Ficca and Kathy Norval; brothers, Lamar, Douglas, Jim and Stanley Allred; best friend, Toni Watkins; close friends, Jean Cronk, Elaine Davis, Deb Thogerson, Pat Londre and Lisa Soderman. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Coarlyn Strawbridge; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Sity.
Funeral services will be held at Racine Bible Church, 12505 Spring St., on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Miesel officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials to Racine Bible Church or NOCC Ovarian Cancer Society have been suggested.
