Joan was born in Kenosha on March 14, 1963, to Thomas M. and Doris J. (nee, Swanson) Cecchini. She was an Interior Design Architect and Vice President of United Construction Company.Joan loved life. She lit up a room with her gorgeous smile and her attitude. Joan would go out of her way to help others before herself. She was a voracious reader and loved to play her grand piano. Joan was an avid athlete, enjoying skiing, snowmobiling, boating and playing golf. She also had a love for animals, but most of all, Joan was a loving mother and daughter.
Joan is survived by her children, Jessica D. Anzalone, Nikolas T. Anzalone and Dominic A. Anzalone; her parents, Thomas M. and Doris Joan Cecchini; brothers, David (Kurri) Cecchini, Mark T. (Debby) Cecchini and Thomas M. (Paula) Cecchini; niece, Nicole Cecchini; her former husband and children’s father, Rick D. Anzalone; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dominic and Carmen Anzalone. Joan is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Joan will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 725 High St., on Friday, September 26, 2008, at noon with Rev. James F. Peters officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to “Joanie’s Angels” care of Johnson Bank.
