Rodger A. Johnson

Rodger A. Johnson, age 66, on September 13, 2008, was called home by his loving Lord. He was born on December 1, 1941, in Racine.

He was united in marriage to the late Pam Johnson (Lee) on February 14, 1970. He was dearly loved by daughter, Jennifer, and granddaughter, Megan, the light of his life. Survived also by sisters-in law, Carol Lee, JoAnn (Bob) Kandl, Nancy Litrenta, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whose lives he touched in so many ways.

Rodger served in Germany as a member of the US Army. He worked for the City of Racine for 37 years, retiring from the Parks Department.

Rodger was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was an avid Drag Racing/Stockcar fan. He bowled in the Tuesday night league for many years and was at peace out on the lake helping with charter fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pam Johnson, parents Lunette Houck (Connell) and Gordon Johnson, and brother-in-law Clayton Lee.

Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thursday, September 18, 2008, at 2065 Geneva Street, from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. with Reverend Stephen Jennings officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial funds can to be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church Elevator Fund at, 2065 Geneva Street, Racine, WI, 53402.
