Eric C. Krause, 61, passed away on Friday evening, Sept. 5, 2008, at his home following a short illness. He was born in Cornell, WI, on Feb. 2, 1947, to the late Erich and Alma (nee: Gerber) Krause. He graduated from Cornell High School in 1965, and grew up in the Cobban area. He moved to Racine, where he worked for Racine Unified School District for 30 years, retiring in 2006.
A son, Michael; a sister, Linda, of Chippewa Falls; four cousins; special friends, Michael Ziebarth of Chippewa Falls and Yvonne Troen and family of Racine, survive him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at 6 p.m. A committal service will be held in Cornell, WI, on Sept. 20, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
