Beckey was very artistic and enjoyed painting, designing, writing poetry and art. Becky was an advocate for Aids Awareness and her greatest passion was devoting her time and talent educating the youth throughout the state of Wisconsin. She will be deeply missed.Survivors include her mother, Andrea Gatzow (Richard Vitacco) of Racine; her father, Ernest Gatzow of Wausau, WI; sister, Frances McDade of Racine; her grandmother, Mardell Proffitt of CA; niece, Malena; nephews, James and Andrew; aunts, uncles, other relatives, special friend, Stan Jagielski, and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until time of service.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Woodstock Health and Rehabilitation Center, especially to nurse Carmen, CNA Angie, and to Hospice Advantage for their loving and compassionate care given to Beckey.
