Stanley Arthur Miller

Kenosha - Mr. Stanley A. Miller, 89, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 27, 2008.

Stanley Arthur Miller was born in Tomah on May 2, 1919, to the late Chris and Olga (nee: Myrvold) Miller. In Racine, at Bethania Lutheran Church, he was united in marriage to Ellen P. Erickson on July 27, 1968.

Mr. Miller was a former member of the Bethania Lutheran Church. He served in the United States Army Infantry as a Sargent in Europe during World War II. He was employed at McGraw Edison. He retired in 1981 and he and his wife Ellen moved to Dunedin, Florida, for the next 27 years. He spent the last 6 months in Kenosha with his beloved family. Stanley was a private man who enjoyed shuffleboard, football, water sports and most of all his gardening.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ellen; one daughter, Nancy (Edward) Bellmore of Kenosha; three grandchildren, Lynn Sabatini of Gilberts, Illinois, Jerry (Carolyn) Bellmore of Bristol, and Robbyn Erickson of Racine; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold (Catherine) Miller of Racine; one sister, Elsie Rashleger of Phoenix, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, John Erickson and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Rashleger.

A memorial service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, October 3, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice Alliance of Kenosha.
