Margaret “Pauline” Peters, 92, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Thursday, August 13, 2009.
Pauline was born in Creston, Iowa, on February 28, 1917, to the late Dale H. and Pearl E. (nee: Lucas) Bunn. On August 21, 1944, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Marvin A. Peters. They moved to Racine in 1945.
With a strong faith in God, Pauline was a proud and devoted member of First Evangelical Free Church.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Ronald Pinkert; granddaughter, Kelli Lee Pinkert, all of Sturtevant; sisters, Barbara Coates and Deanna (Christopher) McLemore; nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, on August 30, 1987; their two infant sons; sister, Ruby (Thadius) Spencer; and brother-in-law, Harry Coates.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of West Lawn Memorial Park, 9000 Washington Ave., on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ken Howe officiating. Private interment will follow. Family and friends are invited to gather in the cemetery chapel on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. In memory of Pauline, memorials to First Evangelical Free Church have been suggested.
