Sid was united in marriage to Adeline (nee: Pavia) Gutierrez for 43 years until her passing on September 2, 1999. He was proud to have been employed as a truck driver with a clean driving record for over fifty years. Sid enjoyed boxing, fishing and playing pool. He cherished time spent with his family and quality time spent with his grand kids taking rides in the countryside.Survivors include his children, Elizabeth (Robert) Bueno, Deanna Gutierrez, Stephen Gutierrez, Thomas Ysidro Gutierrez, Carrie (Daniel) Renteria Sr.; grandchildren, Katrina Munoz, Justin Renteria, Daniel Renteria Jr., Alyssa Gutierrez and Chandra Bueno; great-grandchildren, Mario Jr, Ramiro and Valentino Ysidro Munoz; brothers, Jesse Gutierrez, Maxamilion Gutierrez Jr.; sisters, Olivia Ramos and Esther Gutierrez, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Marquez; sister-in-law, Amanda Gutierrez; and grandchildren, Brandy Bueno and Roberto Bueno Jr,
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 31, 2009, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Heather L. Bumstead officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. until time of service.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints in the ICU and the Cardiac Unit.
