Mrs. Patricia Ann Peters, 91, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital/All Saints. She was born in Brady, Montana, on Sept. 11, 1917, to the late Thomas Lloyd and Agnes (nee: Queeny) McDonald. She lived most of her life in Racine. She was united in marriage to Harry W. Peters in Racine on Sept. 14, 1940. He preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1987.
She was a graduate of Washington Park High School. She worked at J.C. Penney's as a sales person for 25 years. She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Mrs. Peters was a very kind, thoughtful and social person.
She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Patricia (Fred) Obernberger and Harriet (Edd) Newman; five grandchildren, Jana (Ken) O'Brien, Carlise Newman, Erika Johnson, Ann Marie Obernberger, Frederick "Fritz" (Amy Beth) Obernberger; six great-grandchildren, Peter and Miranda O'Brien, Madeline and Maxwell Johnson, Victoria and Olivia Obernberger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church, 1425 Grove Ave., on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Friday evening, August 14, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to express their gratitude to caregivers, Terrie Gilboy, Sue Mutchie, and the staff at Harmony Commons for their kind and compassionate care.
