Barbara S. Fink, 75, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 26, 2008.
Barbara was born in Leeds, England on February 10, 1933, to George and Ann (nee: Hill) Robson. She married Roger D. Fink at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on November 27, 1965.
Barbara was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church and was past secretary of the AAL branch. She was very active in volunteer work. Barbara volunteered at the Wise Penny Thrift Shop, Racine Volunteer Center, the Visitor Bureau, Friends of Seniors, Early Days Gas and Engine Association #10, Big Brothers Big Sisters and numerous other organizations. She was past secretary and treasurer of the Holiday Rambler camping and travel club. Barbara was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #434 and TOPS. She worked the box office at the Racine Raiders games. Barbara was a doll collector. She enjoyed traveling, going to theater shows, shopping, gardening and watching English shows on Channel 10 on Sundays. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roger Fink; daughters, Andrea (Charles) Lundgren and Victoria Fink; grandchildren, Amanda (Christopher Bruno) Lundgren and Benjamin Lundgren; great-grandson, Kristoffer Bruno; sisters-in-law Lucille (Michael) Schuerman, Violet (Cas) Duba, Phyllis (Bob Factor) Degerstedt, and Darlene (Jim) Peterson and brothers-in-law Vernon (Pat) Fink, Duane Fink and Robert (Connie) Fink. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Doreen and Lee Wolff, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chris and Pearl Fink and brother-in-law Arlan “Archie” Fink.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7900 Nicholson Road, on Friday, August 29, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. David Wierschke officiating. Private family interment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Expansion Fund or Hospice Alliance have been suggested.
