Frances (nee: Sieber) Ziese, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Woodstock Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Fond du Lac on March 8, 1928, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Smith) Sieber. On August 16, 1947, Frances was united in marriage to Marvin Ziese in Elroy. She was a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her children, Marlene Russ of Racine and Joyce Blake of Jessieville, AR; grandchildren, Scott (Linda) Andersen, Julie (Edward) Sosa, Charlotte (Damian) Strak, Sheila Chairez, James Russ; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, on March 12, 1982; daughter, Lillian Andersen; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of service.
Our gratitude goes out to Raymond Martin for all the hard work and time given to keep our grandmother in the home she loved so much. We also want to thank Community Care, Aging and Disability Center and Woodstock Rehabilitation Center for all the support and care given to our grandmother.
