Marion P. 'Penny' (Hahneman) Schnetter

Marion P. "Penny" Schnetter, age 79, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008, at Willowcrest Care Center. She was born in Somers, May 26, 1929, and graduated from Wm Horlick High School.

On September 11, 1949, in Racine she was united in marriage to Andrew Schnetter who preceded her in death November 11, 1970. Penny was employed by McQueen Insurance Co for over 30 years. She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and taking care of her dogs and cat. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her sister, Dorothy Nelson; niece, Debra (Charles) Klimek; nephew, Allan Nelson; grandniece, Amy Klimek; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her father, Henry Hahneman and mother Emily (John) Rudin.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend John Flemming officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet Wednesday at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to Evangelical United Methodist church have been suggested.

The family wishes to thank the staffs at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospital and Willowcrest Care Center for their loving and compassionate care.
