Milwaukee – Karen Ruth Kennedy (nee: Munch), 66, passed away on August 7, 2008.
Karen was born in Racine on June 26, 1942, to Ernest Hans and Ruth Eleanor (nee: Fazen) Munch. She attended school in Racine and went on to attend Monmouth College in Iowa. Karen married Thomas Kennedy in Chicago in 1968. He preceded her in death in 1983. Together they raised their family in Racine and later moved to Milwaukee. Karen was a very loving mother and caregiver to her family. She had a great love for gardening and outdoor activities. Karen had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very creative person who loved craft projects. She had a fondness for animals. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Ann (Mark) Kennedy-Klassen and Molly Marie Kennedy; and her father, Hans Munch. Karen is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Memorial service for Karen will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Walter Hermanns officiating. Private inurnment will take place in Mound Cemetery.
