On July 3, 1943, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Dominick Dacquisto and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage. He preceded her in death, August 2, 2003. Hilda worked for Hamilton Beach Co and then for Rainfair Inc. where she retired after many years of employment. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of Vittoria Colonna. Above all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.Survivors include her two daughters, JoAnn (Jerry) Pederson of Sun Lakes, AZ, Diane (Jeff) Torkilsen of Burlington, WI; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Dayton G.) Keane of Alamo, CA, Mark (Maribeth) Pederson of Los Altos, CA, Nickolaus Torkilsen and Daniel Torkilsen both of Burlington; 4 great-grandchildren, Danielle, Allison, and Dayton R. Keane, Quinlan Judd Pederson; a sister, Ida Hunn; sisters-in-law, Ann Schifano, Frances Cacchione, Cele Tempesta, Sarah Arndt, and Grace (Robert) Petersen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue, on Friday, August 8, 2008, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ronald O. Crewe officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday 9 a.m. until 9:45. Memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Assn. have been suggested.
