Jacqueline B. Smitendorf, 85, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 26, 2008.
She was born in Montague, Michigan, on September 10, 1922, the daughter of the late Daniel and Marion (nee: Connell) Robin. On June 22, 1946, in Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, here in Racine, she was united in marriage to Robert Smitendorf. Jacqueline was an avid reader.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Robert; their daughter Diane Mainland; and grandson, Michael Sell all of Racine.
A private service and interment was held on Friday in the Chapel of Mound Cemetery. Rev. Kara F. Baylor officiated. Memorials can be made to your favorite charity.
