Harry William Felbob, 94, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008. Harry was born December 12, 1913, to John and Carrie (Olson) Felbob. On March 18, 1933, Harry was united marriage to Veda Almond.
Harry was a great husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. The family will miss him immensely. He worked at Western Publishing for 29 years, retiring in 1979. Harry was an avid Cubs fan, loved fishing, pheasant hunting, playing cribbage and sheepshead. He and his wife also bowled in a couple’s league for many years.
Surviving is his daughter, Janice (Marshall) Lee; granddaughters, Debby (Scott) Yocco, Diana Kaestner, Michelle (Steve) Ryder; grandsons, Jeff Kaestner, Mark Trossen; great-grandsons, Tony (Kristi) Yocco, Nick Yocco, Alex Trossen, Carly Trossen, Haley Kaestner, Jeff Kaestner; great-great-grandson Brayden Yocco and a sister Verna Bethards. He is further survived by a host of nieces and nephews and his little sheltie, “Annie.”
Harry is preceded in death by his wife Veda on May 4, 2000; great grandson. Tyler Trassen; brothers, Fritz, Russell, Charlie, Edmond and Victor; sisters, Ester Weitkum and Edna Gardner; parents; son in law, Keith W. Hammill.
Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Special thank you to Hospice Alliance and all the aides, nurses and social workers who cared for Harry for many months. Also, a thank you to Harry’s niece, Charlene Rowlands for her daily support and love.
