Thomas Edward Schnetz, age 56, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008, at Washington Manor in Kenosha. He was born in Racine, April 28, 1952, son of Robert and Mary “Polly” (Nee: Cahoon) Schnetz.
Tom graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1970” and marched with the Boy Scouts Junior Drum and Bugle Corps as well as the Explorer Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. He went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1974 and moved to Minneapolis where he pursued a career in advertising and communications. He was most recently employed by ING U.S. Financial Services and was currently working on his master’s degree. Tom had a great love of reading and cherished time spent with his niece and nephews. He will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his mother, Polly Schnetz; a brother and sisters, Jim Schnetz of Plano, TX, Mary Schnetz of Evanston, IL, Susie (Mike) Krekling of Racine; niece and nephews, Kelsey and Matthew Krekling , Robby Schnetz; other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Schnetz and a sister-in-law, Karen Schnetz.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 8, 2008, 1:30 p.m. at Mound Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Fringer officiating. Please meet at the cemetery entrance. Memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
