Anne M. (Hudec) Laudonio

Anne M. Laudonio, age 86, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at her residence. Anne was born in Racine, WI, March 31, 1923, daughter of the late Anthony and Maria (Nee: Bartosik) Hudec.

On June 19, 1948, she was united in marriage to Alfred Laudonio who preceded her in death, March 12, 1988. Anne was a member of St. Mary’s by the Lake Catholic Church and had been a long-time member of St. Rose Catholic Church. Anne enjoyed ballroom dancing and sending greeting cards. Above all she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Ret. U.S. Army Sergeant Major John (Jean) Laudonio of Grandville, MI, Linda Laudonio (special friend, Arnold Krupp) of Racine, Christine (Wolf) Wendell of Colorado Springs, CO; her five grandsons, Mark Hoefs Jr., Alex Hoefs, Tony Whiteman, Jared Brezney and Justin (Kim) Brezney and their son, Brett; brother, Alfred Hudec of Racine; sisters-in-law, Alice Hudec and Elaine Oetlinger, both of Racine, and Ruth Hudec of Union Grove, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Anthony, and Albert Hudec.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 23, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s by the Lake Catholic Church, 7605 Lakeshore Drive, with Rev. Richard J. Molter officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.

The family extends gratitude to Dr. Richard Clark for his excellent medical acumen and kindness to Mom over the years. A special thank you to the Caledonia EMTs and policemen for their professional service in time of need.
