Dolores C. Wozniecki

Mount Pleasant -- Mrs. Dolores C. Wozniecki, 88, passed away Monday evening, October 26, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints.

Dolores was born in Racine on February 22, 1921, to the late Frank and Amanda (nee: Briske) Dederich. She was lifelong resident of Racine. On October 20, 1942, she was united in marriage to Jerome M. Wozniecki in Racine at Holy Name Catholic Church.

Dolores is survived by her three children, Joan (Ronald) Olson of Racine, Mark (Helen) Roman of Arkdale, Denise ( James) Myrup of Racine; four grandchildren, Matthew Roman and Sarah ( Lee ) Peterson, Holly and Kelly Myrup; great-grandchildren, Savanna and Lee Peterson; sister Leona Culligan of Boise, ID.; sister-in-law, Hertha Dederich of Green Valley, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome, on October 31, 2000; infant son, Bruce; and granddaughter, Ann Marie Myrup; sisters, Lucille ( Howard ) Eckmann,Virginia (Walter) Anderson, Viola (Elmer) Morgenroth Marjorie (Joseph ) Shoop ; brother, Dr. Frank Dederich; brother-in-law, Thomas Culligan; sister-in-law, Eleanore (Anthony) Holochwost; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Memorials in Dolores’s name may be directed to St. Richard’s Catholic Church.

The family extends their sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the entire Lakeshore Manor Administrative, Nursing, and Support Staff along with Mom’s day/night guardian angels on the 4th floor . Special thanks to Dr. Jess DeGroat for giving us those precious extra three years.

For all their love, compassion, and care, dearest friend and “sister” of 83 years Casimira Gryzyb, Godson Tom Gryzyb for the first and last roses, niece Jean and husband Tom Meyers for their thoughtful visits, niece Amy Morgan for the memory album, nephew Gary Eckmann for his “arm chair chats” with his Aunt Del, and Fr. Ron for his spiritual guidance.
