Margaret B. Heath

Margaret B. (nee: Hoernke) Heath, 97, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009, with her family by her side. She was born in Milwaukee on August 5, 1912, the daughter of Paul and Rose (nee: Scheenamann) Hoernke.

Margaret was a graduate of Bay View High School in Milwaukee. She was united in marriage in Milwaukee to Harold F. Heath of Houghton-Le-Spring, England in 1938. Margaret was the manager of the drapery and curtain department of Goldblatts Department Store for more than 16 years. She also was employed at 16 Plus at Regency Mall until her retirement in 1990.

Margaret is survived by her son, Allan (Evelyn) Heath of Ft. Meyers Beach, FL; three daughters, Cynthia (William) Glenn of Titusville, FL, Linda Heath of Milwaukee and Barbara (Ronald) Hirshman of Franklin; 12 grandchildren, Clayton (Anne) Heath, Corey Heath, Joelle Hafer, Dawn (Bill) Liebly, Laura Straka, Lisa (Michael) Maxey, Tammy Vollmer, Jeffrey (Lori) Vollmer, Erin Heath, Melinda Hirshman, Jennifer (Justin) Slaby, Joe Hirshman, ; 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joanne Heath. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on March 19, 1971; son, Clayton J. Heath on Oct. 20, 1993; grandson, Timothy Heath on May 22, 2001; brother, Gilbert Hoernke; sisters, Evelyn Unglaub, Viola Hintz, Dorothy Keesling and Lorraine Matto.

Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday before services from 11:30 a.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.

Private burial will take place at Arlington Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
