Robert 'Peachie' W. Tussler

Sturtevant -- Robert “Peachy” W. Tussler, age 77, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee. Robert was born in Racine, July 11, 1932, son of the late LeRoy C. and Norma H. (Nee: Dinkelman) Tussler.

Bob proudly served in the United States Army, 101st Airborne, in Korea. Bob volunteered with the Sturtevant Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years, serving as Fire Chief and Association President. Bob was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 30 years and was active with his union as Vice President and President. Bob was an active lifetime member of VFW Post 9948.

On June 29, 1953, Bob married Myrtle L. Bohlman, who preceded him in death in 1976. On February 12, 1977, he married Linda M. Schneck.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Michael Tussler, John Tussler, Sherrie Tussler, Scott (Izumi) Schneck; his grandchildren, Amber, Lauren, Zachary and Nicholas Tussler, Shanna Gilhardt, Samantha and Madeline Kay, Corey, Kadi, and Amanda Tussler and Airi and Justice Schneck; two brothers, Harold Tussler of FL, Charles Tussler of Sturtevant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Robert W. Tussler.

Bob will be missed by his family and close friends. He will be remembered for his humor and his hospitality. Join friends and family for one last toast to Bob on Friday after 1 p.m. at the Hiawatha in Sturtevant.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday, October 29, 2009, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will be held Friday at noon at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Memorials to the Wisconsin Paralyzed Veterans, 2311 s. 108th St., Milwaukee, WI 53227 have been suggested.

My Deepest Feeling Of Loss For The Whole Tussler Clan....He Was A Good Dad To His Children They Will Miss Him Every-Day Just As I Do My Own Dad...He Passed Away In 1989...Be Happy For All The Time He Has Spent With Us....Take The Love And Spread It Around...Time Is Something Everyone Must Confront Sooner Or Later...Love,From A Friend Of His Children...Robert Tripp
