Allan was born on May 9, 1930, to the late Glenn and Ruth (nee: Cornelious) DeMars and had lived in Racine his whole life. He had been united in marriage for over 59 years to Mildred Clark beginning on September 24, 1949. Mr. DeMars had been employed at Twin Disc as a forklift operator until his retirement.He is survived by his wife, Mildred DeMars; five daughters, Cheri (Floyd) Lucas, Faye (Ernest) Rodriquez, both of Racine, Renee (James) Boston of Texas, Mary DeMars of Colorado, and Clara Lee DeMars, also of Racine; three sisters, Lila Larson of Waunakee, Eunice Davis of Eudora, KS, Carol Schuster of Racine; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ambrose, and a brother, Glenn DeMars Jr.
Funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 6 p.m. Friends and relatives can meet with the family from 4 p.m. until the time of service. A private inurnment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park on Friday October 10, 2008.
