Robert J. ' Broz' Brozovich

Robert J. “BrozBrozovich, age 81, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008, at his residence. Bob was born in Racine, October 13, 1926, son of the late Joseph and Rose Brozovich and was a lifelong Racine resident.

During World War II at the age of seventeen, Bob proudly served as Corporal and paratrooper in the United State Army. Bob was employed by Young Radiator Company for forty-four years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, American Legion Post 310 and 40/8 Honor Society of the American Legion. Broz was an avid bowler all his life. For the past forty-plus years, he and his good friend Frank Candela cheered on the Packers at the game including his favorite, “The Ice Bowl of 1967.” Bob always looked forward to his Wednesday morning breakfast with his retiree friends from Young Radiator. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth Ziesemer; one niece and three nephews, Barb (Clint) Johnson, Art Ziesemer, Robert (Doreen) Pucely, and John (Carol) Pucely. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose (Emil) Pucely, Ronald Ziesemer, and LaVerne ( Marvin) Gedemer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave, on Friday October 10, 2008, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Ronald O. Crewe officiating. Entombment with full military honors will be held at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church Friday from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to the American Diabetes Association have been suggested.
