Sophie Catherine Hadady, 92, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at St. Monica’s Assisted Living Center.
She was born in Milwaukee on April 7, 1916, the daughter of Vincent and Helen (nee: Stelmach) Kleppin and the eighth of their thirteen children.
Sophie was a past member of St. Edward and St. Joseph’s Catholic Churches in Racine and was a member of Racine Geological Society. She also was a member of Christian Mother’s Society in Milwaukee. Sophie had many interests: she enjoyed lapidary, rock hunting, crafts, cooking, playing board games, card games and Bingo. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Marion Cole, Carolyn (Darrell) Doyscher, Gordon (Karen) Kosidowski, Lillian (Louie) Albert, Iris (Larry)
Dillion and Albert I. (Susan) Hadady; 50 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Lillian R. Kleppin; and brother, Anthony (Wanda) Kleppin. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Kosidowski, second husband, Albert L. Hadady; and a daughter, Rosemarie Collings.
A Mass for the Living will be held at St. Monica’s on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at 10 a.m. There will be a time to meet before services from 9 a.m. until time of mass. On Friday at Sturino Funeral Home there will be a funeral service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Patrick Faulk officiating. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until time of service. On Saturday, October 18, 2008, at the funeral home there will be prayers at 9:45 a.m. prior to leaving for burial at Forest Hill Memorial Park, 3301 E. Forest Hill Ave., Oak Creek, WI.
Due to allergies, the family requests that natural flowers not be sent.
