FRANKSVILLE – Richard E. Bucholz, 64, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2008, at his residence. He was born on April 15, 1944, the son of Howard and Harriet (nee: Capelle) Bucholz.
On October 6, 1984, Richard was united in marriage to Gladys Cutsforth. He was a graduate of Kenosha High School. Dick was a Training Coordinator for S.C. Johnson for many years, retiring in 2001. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and golf. He also enjoyed photography and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving are his children, Dan (Sue) Jilek, Deb (Jeff) Jensen, Denise Bucholz and David Bucholz; grandchildren, Mike Jensen, Jamie Jensen, Nicole Jilek and Trevor Jilek; sister, Betty (John) Loomis; brother, Vernon (Jean) Bucholz; niece, Ann (Greg) Romey; nephews, Michael (Sherry) Bucholz and Robert (Ronda) Bucholz and many friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, on September 16, 2006; sister, Elaine Jacobs; brother, Dan Bucholz and his parents.
Memorial services will be held at Bethania Lutheran Church, 4120 Wright Ave., on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Steve Wohlfeil officiating. Visitation will be held before services from 3 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Countryside Humane Society, 2706 Chicory Rd., Racine, WI 53403 have been suggested.
