Lavinia M. Angel, nee Roberts, 88, passed away at her residence on Monday, October 20, 2008.
Winnie was born in Racine on March 17, 1920, to Roy and Elsie (nee, Durstling) Roberts. She has been a lifelong Racine resident. Winnie married Robert E. Angel at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church on November 23, 1946.
Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Angel; daughter, Nancy (Ken) Janson; granddaughters, Maggy (Ron) Hribar and Emily (Dan) Pfeiffer; and great grandchildren, Joseph Robert Hribar and Jenna Angel Hribar. Winnie is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Roberts and Harrison Roberts; and her sister, Mary Spencer.
A memorial visitation for Winnie will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 23, 2008, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Inurnment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove. Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or the Purple Heart.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice and Angel’s Grace Hospice for all of the loving care given to Winnie.
